Bel Air native Mike Newberry is a singer and guitarist with over 30 years experience. He has played and sang in concert bands, orchestras, choirs, and bar bands, and has experience with nearly every genre of music.

Since 1996, Mike has worked at Music Land on and off, usually manning the front counter, but he has been making his living as a professional musician since 2009. In 2015 he obtained his Bachelor of Arts from McDaniel College, with a focus on vocal performance. From time to time, he lends his vocal talents to studio sessions of all stripes.

Mike's instruction style is based on getting the student to play songs as quickly as possible. As the student progresses, Mike can delve more deeply into theory and the mechanics of music.
